Have used Rx Works for many years. Overall the software itself is quite good and the system is largely intuitive when it comes to a general user. Its easy to navigate the day screen and get the hang of it as a new staff member. Onboarding for the basics is fairly straightforward. The system has good billing functionality and the ability to create procedure “bundles” is brilliant. This means that all Vets can quote the same way and transfer estiamtes to new files at the click of a button (or send estimates to owners via email). One of the big drawbacks of their estimating system is the lack of ranges. All estimates are given as a fixed cost which isnt very useful when you are quoting for many medical procedures. The back end is less intuitive and their learning resources arent always helpful. Their service really lets them down. Can take an inordinate amount of time to get a problem rectified. We recently had a server merger and we were estimated 6 x weeks to complete the task and it took 6 x months. The merge did not go well with multiple issues needing rectification afterwards.
